After two summers with monstrous forest fires surrounding El Paso County, and remarkable stories of success for first responders on the front lines, recognition of one vital group that most are unaware also assist with fighting fires was needed. This commemorative artwork initially intended for shirts for the El Paso County G.I.S. Services department has also become a poster to applaud the long hours, commitment, and skilled expertise of the otherwise overlooked professionals in such situations.
